Been having the above issue every night in, live in the UK, what's worrying is that the only info I can find is from beta users, nothing on twitter or forums cover this from the release version. I've got a bt home hub and found that the new device setup page, that appears in a browser when you first connect a device was the cause of the issue i logged in and turned this off - this fix is only for BT.
Is this still happening to anyone else? Just bought Destiny 2 and I get this issue all day yesterday, and again all today.
BT is a british internet provider and the homehub is their modem, it was a setting in my modem that I changed and it fixed it. I logged in and disabled this welcome page on my router. Not sure this helps but it's something worth looking for, failed to download configuration files from bungie servers.
